Fegore Fashion Trend Spring 2011: Prada Highlight

If it was up to me, I would award Prada for having the most bold and fresh collection for Spring 2011. Prada’s main focus was on stripes and bold colors this season mixed with quirky sunglasses and luxurious fox fur.

Since Louis Vuitton endorsing fox tail, Prada followed Marc’s lead by having fur accessories. I, myself, also have been fashioning fur accessories lately. I will post those later.

Fegore News: Jolis Paons “Phone book dress”

Jolis Paons. I honestly don’t know who she is but, this dress is so incredible I thought more people should get to know her work.
“For my Creative Processes class I designed and made this paper dress purely out of phonebook paper! I pleated, stuck, sewed, and glued everything by hand.” says  Jolis on her  Flickr page.

Awesome work Jolis!

Fegore Report: Urban Zen

Urban zen by Donna Karan

“The Urban Zen Foundation creates, connects and collaborates to raise awareness and inspire change in the areas of well-being, preserving cultures and empowering children. We design forums, partner with existing organizations and bring together experts to define solutions and implement action.” -from their website-

well, basically what they do is…

Make beautiful dresses.
Help people in haiti.
Donates part of their profit to people.(10%)
“empowering children”(that’s what they said on the website)

all the good stuff.

So far this sounds like the perfect organization that helps people and make beautiful clothes.
And it truly is if their dresses were not $700+ each.
I mean…… that’s too expensive for what it is!!!!
and if they are selling big pieces of jerseys for that much money…
maybe they should be little more generous with their profit share… (20-30% maybe!?)

But don’t get me wrong! Over all I think Donna Karan did a very good job!
The dresses are truly breath taking I wanted every single piece of this collection!
